Use Case:
We have a Knowledge Center landing page. This landing page is using getResources to get resources from ~10 different collections (parent resources), i.e. Case Studies, Blog, Reports, etc.
Is there a way to search just those specific areas and also return the results on the same page.
I pretty sure this can be done with SimpleSearch or maybe AdvSearch, however there's a caveat. This page also has UI-controlled (jQuery) filtering happening. My initial thought (or rather question) is to have another UI-controlled search (not MODX) that will filter results by user-input in the search value.

with SimpleSearch you can filter by parent with
if you want to switch between different parents with a listbox and without page - reload, you will need some ajax to get the results.

Made it far less complicated than it needed to be. KISS, right?
However, I have two SiSea forms now (one in the header that is global) and the other lives on this landing page. The keyword I'm searching for on the landing page search is also populating the search field in the header. Is there away to remove that?

Disregard. Changed searchIndex.
