I realize this is not a shortcoming of ModX but of Firefox. For some reason I can't get ModX and Firefox to play nicely together.

I don't understand exactly what is going on. My suspicion is that it has something to do with pre-fetching by Firefox. The site works fine in Chrome. I have disabled caching and emptied my local cache with no effect on performance.

    Here is the problem:

    mydomain/index.php

    mydonaim/index.php?id=2

    mydomain/index.php?id=3

    Will all display only mydomain/index.php

I could use alias but I think it will make the same problem, because Firefox seems to think I just want to see index.php and is not respecting the variable that comes with the URL.

    This problem is really frustrating!

    Firefox version is 33.11 (Linux)
OS is Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE1)

Have you tried visiting the site in Private mode in FF (go to Settings -> New Private Window)?

Fetching the page in Private mode still had the same effect.

I also noticed that if I put the content in a sub-directory such as /modx/ the problem does not seem to happen, but if I put it in / then there is a problem.

hey guys... thanks, I solved this problem but it was not an obvious solution. I'm not sure why it was able to work in Chrome now. It turned out that the problem is you have to set *both* the fields for "published on" and "published date" or the pages won't show up in Firefox. That was a lot of pain for nothing!!!

That's really weird. I can't imagine how that could create a browser-specific issue.

BTW, did you try disabling all your Firefox add-ons?
