    I have an event listing page. I created TV "event_date" with input / output options and output as follows: %B %d, %Y

    Using getResources in the Template to output my resources on the page and the tpl chunk for uses the event_date TV on one part of the layout and display correctly (July 24, 2015). However, in this layout it also calls for the date to display individual date format stacked:

    July
    24
    2015

    <!-- Section: Event Post Content -->
    <div class="event-post-content">
    	<div class="small-2 columns event-date-info">
    		<div class="event-month">[[+event_date:date=`%B`]]</div>
    		<div class="event-date">[[+event_date:date=`%a`]]</div>
    		<div class="event-day">[[+event_date:date=`%d`]]</div>
    	</div>
    	<div class="small-10 columns event-post-info">
    		<h3 class="event-post-title">[[+longtitle]]</h3>
    		<div class="event-post-date">[[+event_date]]</div>
    		<p>[[+introtext]] <a class="link" href="[[~[[+id]]]]">[[+cta_link_text]]</a></p>
    	</div>
    </div>
    <!-- END Event Post Content -->

    I was trying to use output filters to make it work .. .but no luck. Suggestions or better approach?

      Solution: [[+event_date:strtotime:date=`%B`]]
