    Hello I am setting up ModX on a ubuntu precise pangolin 32 bit box on a local machine. I have ran the installer, connected to the database succesfully created the MODX_ tables, everything completed successfully.

    I have MODX setup in var/www/projectname/httpdocs/

    When I browse to localhost/manager/ I get the modx login page, but all the css/js files are invalid. They are located on the server but I cannot link to them.

    localhost/manager/connectors/lang.js.php?ctx=mgr&topic=topmenu,file,resource,welcome,configcheck&action=

    localhost/manager/manager/assets/ext3/ext-all.js

    as you can see everything is servered through /manager/ I have the path defined correctly in core/config.inc.php

    if (!defined('MODX_MANAGER_PATH')) {
        $modx_manager_path= '/vagrant/vhosts/projectname/httpdocs/manager/';
        $modx_manager_url= 'manager/';
        define('MODX_MANAGER_PATH', $modx_manager_path);
        define('MODX_MANAGER_URL', $modx_manager_url);

    I'm not sure what I should do?

      What do you get when you put this on a page:

      [[++site_url]]

      MODX uses that as a prefix for all the URLs.

        As Bob stated above [[++site_url]] should be set and make sure to use <base href="[[++site_url]]">.

        <script type="text/javascript" async="" src="./js/jsfilename.js"></script>

        Also, make sure to reference your file as follows "./" at the beginning of your file. That appends the base URL your file request.
