does anyone know when the next version of modx evo will released

Hi the majority of my sites are on 1.0.14.

Ive upgraded to php5.4 on some critical sites that have other non modx sections that required a higher version php.

Does anyone know when the next version of evo will be released as I dont want to upgrade lots of sites to 1.0.15 only to have the next release out in say 3 months or so.

And how well does 1.0.14 or 15 support php5.5

MODX LLC do not support Evo

A group of community members have kept it alive for the last couple of years (to whom I am personally very grateful) but as of late, development, by the looks of things, has dropped a lot (as seen on the MODX Evo GitHub).

Conclusion:

The 1.0.15 download on the MODX site has a manager session problem, it doesn't have the bugfix in it, so if you upgrade I suggest adding the bugfix per hand - you can find it here

So far as I understand the Russian community are still working on Evo, but the language barrier is probably a major problem for the majority - me included.

As a long term Evo user (approx. 9 years) I have now decided to move onto Revo, I have just updated all of my sites to the latest Evo and modified as needed for 5.5 + 5.6, now using MYSQLi. This update gives me the time to transition from Evo to Revo.

My opinion: update to the latest Evo version, ensure all bugfixes are carried out, change database type in "manager/includes/config.inc.php" from MYSQL to MYSQLi and start to learn Revo. [ed. note: iusemodx last edited this post 11 years, 2 months ago.]

My advice would be to get "bugfix" branch from Github, not 1.0.15 download:

Looks like Yama commited several document parser modifications in "develop" branch, did anyone had time to test them?

In reality, Bugfix + Develop are required to gain the benefits of all the latest work

I did take a look - there's no further critical fixes, while there was rewrite how tags are parsed from content.
