    Hello,

I would appreciate help with this problem. I have been going round in circles for several hours now and pretty soon I’m going to burst a blood vessel over what I thought would be a simple procedure...

I have a small website for which I want to create a Manager User account. This is to allow the owner of the website to log in and edit page content on certain pages.

I have created a Manager User Group and a Manager User which is a member of this. I have created a Role, which allows editing and saving documents and changing password, linked to the Manager User. I have also created a Document Group and linked this to the Manager User Group.

Problem: when I assign a document to this Document Group, it disappears from the site menu, Web access == Private and Manager Access == Private.

I would be very grateful if someone could explain to me what is going on here and how I can achieve my objective of setting up a content editor user account.

    All advice gratefully received,

    thanks

Web access should not be private, unless you have web user accounts you want to give access to these pages for.

Make sure that you do not have any web users assigned to the group. If web users groups are assigned to the manager document group it will behave like a web group as well. To help me keep them in order I add a prefix to the group name to identify it as either manager or web (I do this with user groups as well).
