Yeah, I’ve been casually cruising through the Manager scripts looking for hard-coded mysql calls with the thought of getting that cleaned up once and for all, then it would be a piece of cake to just create a new db class file for postgres, or any other database. I’ve kind of had sqlite in mind for a while now. Would be great for uber-cheap hosting with no database, but php5.

My editor will search through all of MODx in about 10 seconds. If you can tell me what to search for, I think I may be able to cut and paste the results to give you all the filenames and line numbers.

Finding them isn’t the problem, I’ve probably got a dozen editors installed that do the same thing. The trick is to convert them to $modx->db->... API calls. And some of them are pretty complicated. So I’m looking for the simple ones that are easy to convert first, and save the complex ones for puzzling out or hollering for help on later. wink

This made me think you were doing it the old-fashioned way.
