I have a custom ComboBox in MODx JS for an extra component I'm building. I need a ComboBox to drop down a list based on a JSON file. I have no problem calling hard-coded values from a multi dimensional array. Based on this documentation:
http://rtfm.modx.com/revolution/2.x/developing-in-modx/advanced-development/custom-manager-pages/modext/modx.combo.combobox
I need a way to load the data from a JSON file. Probably with AJAX but can't find any documentation on how to do this. The best I could manage to do was to write the data to a system setting and call it in MODx JS. Which doesn't give me the array anyway.
The Sencha documentation has additional information that might not be directly related to MODx:
http://extjs.cachefly.net/ext-3.3.0/docs/?class=Ext.form.ComboBox
Any help would be appreciated.
