I am looking at ways to add the RSS feed of another site into a web page on an existing MODx site, As far as I can tell I need an rss parser then an include or something to get the output of this parser into the page.
I dont think this is a MODx specific question and could probbably ask this on any website related forum, I have had a scan through the repository but can find anything related to this or at least not what appeared to do the job.

Can someone point me in the right direction on this this is my first time with rss feeds

Cheers

You can use the FeedX snippet for this http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,12657.0.html

and as an alternative there is PieX which is a simplepie integration to MODx. http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/PieX

I have used NewsParserX, you will find it somewhere in the snippets section. I hacked it a small bit to slightly change the format it spits the feed out in. Very easy to use.
