Dear community,
I’ve wasted a few hours reading through svn’s and posts to add table controls to TinyMCE. My end user needs to update some tabular data - like price lists, but withour table support it’s a nigtmare.
I’m running 0.9.6.2-rc1, with Tiny MCE 3.0.3 defualt install. When I change the web theme to custom, then add the table plugin, and then tablecontrols button, nothing changes. I even cycled through all the settings and saved from Simple to Custom but nothing changes.
Surely someone must have hit this problem recently.
Many thanks

I can’t believe I’m the only one with table requirements. I urgently require table editing for data in the content areas.
Is there another editir I can use ’cos I can’t get Tiny MCE working - I’ve added the "table£ to plugins and "tablecontrols" to the web buttons but tnothing happens. In fact changing the web styel from simple to advanced custom or even deleting plugins and buttons has zero effect.
Deos anyone even have a cluse as to what I am doing wrong or where I can look?
Cheers,
hypnoman
I just tried it myself.
1. Changed the Theme to Custom.
2. Added table to Custom Plugins.
3. Added tablecontrols to Custom buttons.
Once I saved the settings and edited a document, the table controls were there (see screenshot). Have you changed any of the plugin settings?
Thanks for the swift responce. Your screens are different from mine - I wish had yours as it looks like it works.
My screen is attached. But it has no effect. In fact you can do anything you want with the selections - even remove everything and the standard icons still appear. There’s something wrong somewhere...
You changed the settings on the plugins page, I changed them on the configuration page.
Click on the ’Tools’ tab, then ’Configuation’, then the ’Interface & Features’ tab. If you scroll down to the bottom of that page, you’ll see the TinyMCE settings.
Doh,
Many thanks - you’ve helped me sort it...
