Generate phpThumbsUp thumbnail with using an external URL

    Is it possible to generate a thumbnail using one of the phpthumb snippets with an external URL.

    I've tried a few (phpthumbsup, phpthumbon, phpthumbof) but no luck.

    Guess to save a copy to the server and then generate will be the best way.
