I’ve used @INHERIT to great effect before. However this time I am trying to inherit the contents of a RichText template variable, and the ’
’ and ’
’ added around the @INHERIT value seem to confuse the system.

If I delete the contents of the TV before saving the page (i.e. remove the @INHERIT) then it’s fine. But I can’t ask users of the system to do this every time they edit the page.

Is there a work-around? Sometimes it works, but then I save a page and the whole inheritance structure breaks.

Thanks,
Peter

I know this is an old post but since nobody answered I feel its still relevant.

I’m facing the very same issue and was wondering if any progress has been made?

Hello again! I found my old post looking for an answer to this very same question again(different project). Can anyone shed some light on this? Can I really be the only person wanting to use @inherit with a RichText area, or is the answer just that obvious?

Thanks,

Jeremy

Hi there,

I think I had the same problem but found some help in the german forum.
Just go to the TinyMCE plugin and add the following custom parameter:
forced_root_block: false;

This should do it, now it works fine smiley

Cheers
Mike
