i am unable to use TV as a Checkbox for a field like featured.
It always shows Checked by default.. i need it to be faulse..
also it dose not dose any entry in the database for a checkbox TV..
please help..

Just do the opposite. Make it unchecked by default and only check the exceptions. I did that and it seemed to work.
Just learning the ropes.
