    Hi,

I use MODx quite a lot and just keep the most recent version on my machine and upload to a server as needed but there are a number of chunks that I use (for Wayfinder templates).
It would save me heaps of time if I can somehow put them into the setup sql so that when I install MODx the chunks already get installed.

Can anyone let me know the best way I can do this?

    thanks.

I found out on my own!

For anyone that is interested in knowing...
in the ’install’ folder there is a file named setup.info.php - in that file there is a set of arrays for chunks that refer to a txt file with the data of the array in it.
simply create your chunk files and then refer the array to those files and they get picked up in the install process.

it was really quite easy once I looked for where the existing weblogin chunk was being created from!

      hope it helps someone.

      paul.

Glad you were able to get it figured out; and thanks for sharing the information for others to take advantage of.

        Cheers!

          Hi everyone,

further to adding in chunks and snippets to the install, I would like to add in some TV’s but there are no initial TV’s in the default install so I can’t see where I would ad them!

If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them.

          cheers.
