In 2.3.2, the ne=`` and notempty output filters don't register default TV content in resources. So if you have a resource with a default TV value, the output filters will skip over it.
Does anyone know a way to display default TV values with output filters?
Thanks
That really shouldn't happen. The correct TV value should be retrieved before the output modifier executes. I wonder if the real problem is the parsing order. Is the tag with the output modifier nested inside some other stuff (e.g. a chunk tag inside another chunk inside a snippet call)? Is the tag called cached or uncached?
It's inside a template variable with a getResources call in it, which I suspected too might have something to do with it. The getResources tag is not cached, and I uncached the template variable, but the output filter still skips it.

It's difficult to advise you without knowing more about what you're doing.
The best approach is usually to put only the resource-specific data in the TV, and put everything else in the template (so the getResources tag and the output modifier would go in the template).
Feel free to post the full TV value and explain what you're trying to do.
