Wordpress import into Articles annoyance!

Hey all - just doing some trial runs on a migration from Wordpress Blog to MODX set with Articles. All going nicely apart from latest exports from Wordpress WXR XML file don't contain the <p> or </br> tags :-(

So all ends up a bit messy after the built in Articles import - anyone come across a nice solution?
