2nd Content Area?

Hey guys,

There is a column to the right of my content area where i want to have data that will be different on every page. I was thinking about joining the content column and the right column together and just instert a two column table on every page, but this seems a bit un-professional. So..

Is there a better way of adding content to a section (div) of my template?
