It should be in a template or a chunk.

Try typing "linkcheck" into the search bar at the top of the Manager. You'll get a list of everything that has that text.
Sottwell, thank for your reaction, i didn't know this possibility...
I still cannot find it, is there a special way what/how to type in the search field, you screenshot is a clear example, but for me no results...
Even when I look for a know text as <div class="logoedit2"> ( i can see it in Chunk: header.logo) when I type this in the search field as you show me,... no result!!
Also not when looking for only the text logoedit2.
The gear is going to turn, but again no result..
Even when i look for something like margin-left: no results, there must a lot of these....
Maybe I missed a plugin? or the data is not indexed, maybe my Macintosh???

Hm. The search is in MODX resources and elements (templates, chunks, snippets etc), which are stored in the database, not in any files. If it didn't show up there, then I'd suspect it's inserted by a Javascript library somewhere. Can you give me a URL to a page that has it?
"margin-left" would be in a CSS file.

You know something, I never use that search bar. I just tried it, and it looks like it doesn't search in the content of resources and elements, just their names and descriptions.

Rule #1. Never (well, hardly ever) use inline CSS. I see that you have quite a bit of it. You also have a lot of validation errors in your HTML, which may affect how the CSS is behaving. Trying to add inline styling to every element where you want something is defeating the whole purpose of classnames and CSS in the first place.
The linkcheck divs are part of the gallery, but I'm not sure if they are from your HTML or are inserted by the gallery script. They are styled in the layout.css file on line 586.
.linkcheck {
position: absolute;
top: 6px;
right: 8px;
z-index: 10000;
}
@scotwell,
Thank you very much for the help and advise, I will think of your point "defeating the whole purpose of classnames and CSS."
It would be helpfull for me, if there was a utility that search in all the file contents and not only names and descriptions.
But thanks again, I'm going to check the HTML and/or the gallery script...
