Hi,

I cannot seem to redirect correctly some old pages to the new modx website.

For example all the requests to example.mydomain.com/dir1/dir2 should be redirected to example.mydomain.com/other_dir1/other_dir2/welcome

I use the default modx htaccess file.

I would like to do something like

redirect http://example.mydomain.com/dir1/dir2/file1.htm http://example.mydomain.com/other_dir1/other_dir2/welcome/
redirect http://example.mydomain.com/dir3/dir4/file2.htm http://example.mydomain.com/other_dir3/other_dir4/welcome/

I also tried

#RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^example.mydomain.com/dir1/dir2$
#RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /other_dir1/other_dir2/welcome

Any more ideas?
Thx

PS: I just started with this kind of redirects

How about:
```
RewriteRule  ^dir1/dir2/file1.htm$  /other_dir1/other_dir2/welcome/ [L,NE,R=301]
```
Might want to try:
```
RewriteRule  ^dir1/dir2/file1.htm$  /other_dir1/other_dir2/welcome/ [L,NE,R]
```
first, then add =301 when confirmed working (301 is a permanent redirect).

Make sure rewrite engine is turned on in your .htaccess file first, should look something like:
```
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
```
