    Hello!

    My master and commander desires an empty welcome page with no useful content. As you can see, I think nothing of it, but all arguments would fail ... So how can I redirect the user to the "real" entry page WITH information and menu and all that belongs to a good web site after a given time, say 3 to 5 seconds? Is there a snippet that adds the header/redirect into the template? Or do I have to find a workaround?

    Thanks for any suggetions
    Martin

      Make a different template for the initial landing page, then add this to the top of the template in the meta tag section, modifying it to suit your application:

      <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2;url=http://mysite.com/blog/">

      content = seconds till redirection
      url = page to send them to

      :)

        OMG, yes it is so simple. I already have a different template for the welcome page. In such cases we say in Germany "you can’t see the forest because of all the trees". I don’t know an english proverb wich expresses this wink

        Thank you very much

          A common ancestry?
          In English
          "you can’t see the wood for the trees"
          grin
