@BobRay,
Is it possible to hand-code a NP form?
As flexible as NP is with regard to generating the form fields I want more granular control over the end result which I could do much more easily if I hand-coded the form. As long as I ensure the proper NP syntax and placeholders it should work, shouldn't it?

I don't think it's possible. NP uses the &show property to create the form and it pulls in a Tpl chunk for each item in that property. You can substitute your own Tpl chunk for any of them, but if you create your own form, it will still pull in the chunks if they're listed in the &show property. The &show property is used to distinguish resource fields from TVs, and if it's missing or empty, NP will have no way to tell TVs from resource fields.
It might be possible if there are no TVs at all and you set &show=``, but I couldn't guarantee that it would work.
