    Hello

On my page, I use a snippet whose output is based on a MySQL table. The content of that Table should be changeable for manager-users. Does anyone know a possibility to edit tables in the MODX Manager? In MODX Evolution, the module «dbEdit» provieded that service.

    Many thanks !

MIGXdb can do that. Here is a Tutorial how:

      http://rtfm.modx.com/extras/revo/migxdb/migxdb.tutorials/migxdb.create-doodles-manager-with-help-of-migxdb

the first step would be to create a xml-package and schema from your table.

If you give me the name of your table, I can tell you, how you would do that with just some clicks.

        My table is called "publication_data".

does the table have a autoinc - field with name 'id'?
If not, this should be the first step to change that.

          Then:
          1. install MIGX
          2. rename your table to custom_publication_data
          3. Go the MIGX - CMP to the tab 'Package Manager'
          4. Put in Package Name: 'mypublications' (or another name for your new xpdo-package)
          5. At table-prefix select (custom prefix)
          6. At custom-prefix put: 'custom_'
          7. Click 'Create Package'
          8. Make sure a Folder was created under 'core/components/mypublications'
          9. Go to the tab 'Write Schema'
          10. Click 'Write Schema'
          11. Rename your table to 'modx_publication_data' or if your default prefix is another one than modx_ use that one - this way, you do not need to remember everytime to add your custom-prefix everywhere
          12. Go to the tab 'xml-schema'
          13. click 'Load Schema' copy that schema and paste it here, before we go further.
