Problems creating a blog in Modx

Hello, I am not a technical person in any way, but I hope I can find some help on this forum.
I installed articles on modx, in order to start a blog on my website. However, when I then create the container, save it, I do not get the option to create articles right there and then as some youtube video seems to show. So, I have to right click on the container itself, and create it. The worst part is that I am unable to edit the 'article container' itself, to even view it on the right hand side pane (once it is saved first time), and even when I create articles, I cannot see them anywhere, let alone right click on 'manage articles'.

Anyone has any idea what the problem is? In theory, according to the video I saw on youtube, once you save the articles container, you ought to be able to create articles right there and then, one can view them a list of the created articles right at the bottom of the screen, in the container folder. Instead, i cannot even edit the article container.

What version of MODX are you running? For a start, you should manually clear your cache (delete all files in the core/cache/ folder) and flush all sessions.

it sounds like the plug-in didnt install correctly. you could try to uninstall and re install it.

I did uninstall and then reinstall. I am pretty sure I cleared cache, though can't remember at what stage.

Someone suggested I have to take this step, when installing the container folder. Though I have no clue what that entails.
