    Hi,
    I have pagelocker installed and it works as expected for an individual page with a password. But once that password has been entered, other pages with different passwords can be accessed. I am not using passwords but unique passwords for individual pages.

    Any ideas. Modx 2.3.2
    Pagelocker 1.1.0

    I can see on the pagelocker package that it might not be compatible since I upgraded.

    Are there any similar packages out there?

    Jean

      Modx Revolution has a built in ACL system which is not overly difficult to use and is reliable.

      From the package notes:
      PageLocker provides simple front-end password protection for individual or groups of pages.

      By setting a password in a page's template variable (and optionally setting a password group to allow single-password access to a series of pages), site editors and admins can provide basic password protection without the use of ACLs.

      Are your documents in different groups?

        I haven't defined groups at all. Those are empty fields. I thought that if the group was blank that the page was only supposed to be accessible with the unique page password

          Basic logic

          blank === blank

          That would be my guess.

            If I remember correctly, you will need to set the groups to differentiate the sessions. The logic is written so that when they are left blank, all the pages will technically belong in the default/same group.

            The password set on a page is only used to test against the user input of that page. So when the password of that page is correct, the user's session is initiated and given access to all of the same group pages.

            Therefore, you could have multiple passwords for one group, but the user has to enter it right on that page to be granted access -- the situation you are confronted with.

              Thankyou! This was the problem. I created unique groups and all is cool!
