PHPMyAdmin downloaded and installed/configured on both servers from same source.
Database Exported - modx-personal
Database Imported - modx-personal
Files for additional snippets, templates and contents of assets/(images/media/flash/files) migrated into new install.
Clean install check - several permissions errors - relating to the above path - resolved using 777
Database Ok, all Prevalidation checks successful.
Migrate config.inc.php to folder, unlock and reset permissions to 777
Enter in modx-personal as the database, it picked up latin1 as the collation type and the prefix of modx_
Entered in new database authentication details and continued through to pre-validation after checking for a successful connection to the database.
Fails Pre-Validation
Creating connection to the database: OK!
Database could not be selected!
Please check the database permissions for the specified user and try again.
Checking table prefix `modx_`: Failed! - Table prefix does not exist in this database!
Tried various prefixes, and even connecting to the database as mysql root - with no effect. Attempted these steps on both Server and Mac Client.
Attached is a copy of the config file, with username/passwords altered.
Any Ideas?

As it says:

Does it work with a clean install(empty db)?
Clean install works, however needed to run the following commands..
In Assets..
chmod -R 0777 cache
chmod -R 0666 images
chmod -R 0666 files
chmod -R 0666 media
chmod -R 0666 flash
chmod -R 0666 exports
In Manager\Includes
touch config.inc.php
chmod 0666 config.inc.php
Reconfiguring the config.inc.php to support the MySQL root database password = Failed.
Once you have a clean install working
- use phpMyAdmin to populate the db
- replace all the files with the ones you developed with IIS except the config file.
That’s all I can think of.
