    I have 3 modx sites on the same server setup and all using the same modx build yet one won’t have the tree to be sorted. Yes my host is using the buggy version of Mysql but it’s strange it only happened to 1 site out of 3!

      We’ve basically ruled out the MySQL server bug, cause he says he is running 5.0.22. It’s something else here I guess, but I’m at a loss as to what...

        Well if it helps... I recently upgraded.

        MODx version 0.9.6.2-rc1
        Version codename rev 3741

        I was using 0.9.6.1 before this on the same Mysql and it was fine.

        Hopefully it can be found...

          rossco:

          You already have confirmed your problem is 5.0.51. I’m trying to figure out MacLonghorn’s issue, which appears to be unrelated...

            I can only speculate it’s to do with the buggy version of Mysql as only 1 site out of 3 is having this error and it only happened after upgrading to the latest version of modx 096. There is no mention of which version of 0.9.6 MacLonghorn is using so I’m only trying to help as it’s effecting my site as well.

            Cheers

              I’m using straight 0.9.6 rev 2767, MySQL 5.0.22, PHP 5.2.5. I ran the supposed query that the manager uses (line 98 of /manager/frames/nodes.php) to display the docs in the tree:

              SELECT DISTINCT sc.id, pagetitle, parent, isfolder, published, deleted,
              TYPE , menuindex, hidemenu, alias, contentType, privateweb, privatemgr, 1 AS has_access
              FROM modx_site_content AS sc
              LEFT JOIN modx_document_groups dg ON dg.document = sc.id
              WHERE (
              parent =0
              )
              GROUP BY sc.id
              ORDER BY menuindex

              And it correctly displayed the docs in the right order, so my guess is that the "order by" field is either not being used or is always being passed as "id". I don’t have logging turned on at the Prod server, but I may do that soon.

                OK, good news (sort of): The problem is related to 5.0.51. The DNS was pointing at an old shared host the client was using prior to launch, where the database upgraded over the weekend to 5.0.51. Host will remain nameless to protect the guilty (hint: it begins with "website" and ends with "source")

                Sorry for the false alarm. Thanks everyone.
