Session problem in Safari and IE

Hello,

I’ve got a problem with sessions in Safari and IE 7 on my development server which prevents me from logging into the manager and using sessions in the frontend. Strangely, the whole thing works with Firefox and Opera just fine. I’ve already searched through the forum and the bug tracker, but haven’t found any hint on where to look for the solution or what could be the problem, so any hint from you is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your support!

the problem could be fixed: it was caused by using an underscore ’_’ in the hostname (more information on this issue can be found for example at http://bytes.com/forum/thread51658.html).
