I'm searching a way to easily create transport packages, like Packman, but based on specific category/ries choices :
category package :
- chunks
- snippets
- TVs
- templates
- eventually /assets/categories/category-name-folder-and-content/

You might take a look at MyComponent, though I'm not exactly clear on what you want to do. You mention selections based on categories, which MyComponent will do, but maybe not in the way you mean.
Teleport is another option.

Bob I think johnxx is wondering if it possible to create a transport package based on a categories name. That is you give the extra the name of a particular Category. The extra will then find all the resources that are within that Category and package them up. Can MyComponent do that? If so, how.
Many thanks in advance.

@BobRay Sorry for this late reply
@Glyn Exactly !
It would be nice to have the possibility to pack and export MODX chunks, snippets and TV by this way. Unfortunately Packman extra doesn't have this option.

TBH, I've never used MyComponent that way, but I think it will work.
When you edit the config file, you can remove everything except the package information at the top and the category section.
Run Bootstrap, then run ExportObjects, then Build, and I think you'll have a package with all objects in that category. I could be wrong. Worst case, you'd have to name the objects (or at least one object of each type) in the config file.
Be aware that Resources don't have categories, so if you want to include any, you'll have to give their pagetitles in the config file.
