Articles Blog with Categories/Taxonomies?

I created a blog using Articles. It's great. However, I don't know how I would add categories to this blog? I tried using the Taxonomies plugin but I didn't get anywhere with it.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Long thread about this sort of thing.
