    Hello MODx users,

I am working on a new project for tourists, where people can book tickets for different attractions packages or maybee single tickets for a museum, for this i thought i could use MODx?

Is that a good idea? I have tried other CMS systems as well as made my own, but now i want to try MODx and thought why not do it with this project.

Does it required custom coding or are there any plugins available for these kind of websites?

Hope you guys can shed some light on this, thanks.

That all depends on the details. MODX has some great tools for shuttling data between form inputs and your database, and it has a great API for storing and retrieving data from existing database resources (like user info) and you could probably cobble something together using available tools like FormIt, MIGX, etc., but for something this specific it's pretty likely you'll have to code at least a few custom elements.

There were rumors of a Revolution addon for Planyo, but I only see the Evo version currently. You might look at existing booking services and see if it's really worth it to build something like this from scratch. As I said, it really depends on the details.
