get logged out after previewing page

Have a very frustrating problem, if I am editing a page then choose the preview option in either the manager or by opening the page in a new tab, when I then go back to the manager it takes me back to the log in screen and I have to log in again, I am using the latest version and have friendly URLs turned the same as my other sites but these all work fine.
If i look at a non modx page on the same domain I can go back to the manager with no problem. but if I preview any page being served up by MODX then I get this log i issue happens in firefox and IE.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be.

Probably a www/non-www domain name issue. PHP views the two (www.domain.com and domain.com) as two different domains, so a session with one won’t work with the other one.

Yes see where your coming from dont think I explained myself to well in my 1st post. This is what I dont understand this is all part of the same www. domain, if I edit a page then view just that one page only all part of MODx, as soon as I go back into the manager without viewing anything else I have to log back in. Unless there is some setting in the config section I am overlooking I cant work out what i I loose the session.

Out of the blue I get the same frustrating problem.
ian_m, did you find out how to stay logged in?

Last night after few hours of playing in manager I am kicked out for no reason!

In about one hour I was logged out more than 30 times!!!

This morning the same happen, I can´t stay logged in.

I hope there is a solution to this problem, if not, I have to go elsewhere for "ready out of the box" solution!!

I still have the problem, I even reinstalled the whole site but as soon as I run the database backup I am back to the same problem, as soon as I view the sites pages the session is lost it only seems valid while in the manager, if you discover the solution please let me know.

I might be wrong but I have found this out, when editing or making a new page in
manager, it seems to me MODx needs some time to accept the new changes.

If I wait for about 2-3 minutes to view or reediting the new or changed file, I am
usually not kicked out of manager and don´t need to login again.

Edit: However this is not always the case, sometimes I am logged out when I
click some other tree document links so, there is something more to this problem.
