See if QuickEmail will send mail for you.
Email is indeed working.
It seems RW only activates when editing from the Manager, when done from the front-end (NP) it isn't being triggered.
Can any other NewsPublisher users confirm this?

NewsPublisher calls the resource/create processor for new resources or the resource/update processor for existing ones. The processors fire the same system events they would when you save a resource in the Manager - the events that ResourceWatcher would be listening for.
Are you sure the RW plugin is enabled and configured properly? There are some settings that determine which types of events it responds to.
Yes, as far as I can tell it's configured properly.
RW works perfectly when editing from the Manager so unless there's a setting I'm unaware of - perhaps a required Hook or something (just guessing) - then it should work via NP. Except that it doesn't.

Ah ... this line at the top of the plugin is the culprit:
if ($modx->context->get('key') != 'mgr') return;
It won't fire in the front end unless you change that.
I would try making it:
if (($modx->context->get('key') != 'mgr') && (!$modx->user->hasSessionContext($modx->context->get('key')))) {
return;
}
Well spotted, BobRay. That worked.
I suppose the RW author should be made aware of this.

Looks like someone has done it aleady:
https://github.com/meltingmedia/ResourceWatcher/issues/8.
You could +1 it, though.
Does anyone know if it's possible to add a link to the updated resource in the ResourceWatcher email that gets sent?
