I am using the articles extra for a blog. I am using the tiny MC editor and it has an option to add videos. However, I've tried to add one but it doesn't show up when I view the blog post. Is there an extra that will allow me to post a video with my blog post?

    Thanks in advance.

Does the video code get stripped out before the article is saved to the database?

Depending how you are configured the system may be striping out iframe or script tags if they are part of how you are embedding the video.

I viewed the source and this is what I get. The path to the video is correct. Maybe I am using the wrong HTML 5 plugin?

         <p>Check this sound out.<video width="320" height="240" src="assets/videos/F-sharp.mp4" preload="none"><object width="320" height="240" data="assets/components/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/media/moxieplayer.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param name="url" value="assets/videos/F-sharp.mp4" /><param name="flashvars" value="url=/assets/videos/F-sharp.mp4&poster=/" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="true" /><param name="src" value="assets/components/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/media/moxieplayer.swf" /></object></video></p>

How are you including the video links in the content? You can't just link to a video file, you have to use some kind of a streaming player.

There are a number of ways you can do this. MODX doesn't care, you can use any playback method you like, and just use MODX to provide the link to the video file itself.

IF I were to use one of the video players. How would I add the video in a blog post with Articles? In TinyMC, they have a video embed option. I added the code manually for HTML 5 and it worked.

No, the video source does not get stripped out.

TinyMCE seems to be stripping off HTML5 tags. You need to enable the tags you need. Here's a way to do it: http://blog.akinyeleolubodun.com/enabling-html5-elements-in-tinymce-for-modx.html
