Hi all - looks like I might have to implement some kind of product matrix selector in a new web project and wondered what/if people might be using to produce something similar (without having to roll my own) - any extras that can make this easier?

So will need to drill down by making form selection choices to end up with suggested products that meet the chosen criteria...if you get what I mean.

Not a PHP guru by any means smiley

    Thanks

I wonder if any of the eCommerce add-ons will do this (or at least proved a platform for it)? If not, I think it would take some custom code.

I did some research on this a while ago. There are a bunch of Jquery scripts out there that may work for you. I found they come in a couple of varieties.

This one is reductive. It starts with all item and eliminates any items that don't include the selected criteria.

        http://isotope.metafizzy.co/

This is additive. It starts with no items and displays only those items that do include the selected criteria.

I have used Isotope with Modx using GetResources to populate the items being filtered.

There are lots of variations on these filters. Google around you'll find a bunch.

        Good luck!
