I have a new project where I would like to use MODx, but there are a few points I need some advice on.
Basically, the site allows users to sign-up and post a listing for items that are for sale. These are BIG ticket items ($500,000 to $10mm). There won’t likely be more than 1,000 listings. Here’s what I would need (the part that troubles me):
1) Custom front-end sign-up form that allows the user to choose to create a new product listing
2) Product form allows the customer to upload up to 7 images
3) Pull Down Menu for one field that assigns a category (there are up to 20 categories) that will assign the information to a folder for that category
4) Payment (I am thinking of FoxyCart) at the bottom of the listing form that will set the unpublish date based on the selected subscription time (this could be done manually after the payment is processed. It could go in as an unpublished document that is handled manually)
Once the customer sets up their account they should see a page with their products listed when they log-in.
Are there snippets available that do these things - or most of them?
DISCLAIMER: Susan, Ryan et al - I’m one of the designers that uses MODx. I’m not a programmer (now you know why I’m asking for help!), so go easy.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
