This post because I can notice image quality degradation with Gallery Extra.
I uploaded a
PNG 24 bit RGB image and the Gallery image is not the original uploaded image but a
PNG Grayscale 8bits.
Left: uploaded image file, computer side
Right: uploaded image file, Gallery side
Is there a way to manage or prevent Gallery to transform uploaded images?
NB : As this point there is no deliberate transformation with phpThumb although I suppose Gallery do a transformation in background to optimize uploaded files, the comparison is between
original file and
Gallery image served as "original file"
