Hello,
I'm planing to migrate an old online shop to modx and is more or less finished and ready to go online. I didn't used any of e-commerce plugins available but created all by my own from scratch.
About shop:
I developed a some plugins and snippets for all logick I needed. I use custom sql tables for cart, orders, ect... I solved all "products options" with TV, I putted all shop configuration into modx settings. I solved all issues more or less preaty easly thanx to modx.
As for "Order management", because I didn't know how to put in modx backend, I created a new context and point a subdomain to it. I created all logick to deal with orders there.
All works fine and is almost ready to go online, but I'd like to create CMP to move orders logick into modx backend.
I started to "learn" about modx CMP in few occasions, but always came something up and I never had to chance to learn it. Sadly my job is not "modx related", so I can work with it in my spare time which is limited, so I'd like to get some "shortcuts" and guidelines how to start.
Anyway .. I followed a toutorial, created a "welcome.class.php" controller and "welcome.tpl" ... added a link to menu, so when I click it I get a "HELLO". I'm familiar with MVC structure and programming in general. I worked with php frameworks like CodeIgniter, Laravel and Kohana but never used Ext Js or something similar.
So, how to procede from now on? I think that I have two options:
1. Ignore Ext JS and use jquery and build all module layouts by myself.
2. Find some simple and small addon and try to learn from it and implement it into my module.
I have one question about first choice. To show my module I have an URL in modx like:
manager/?a=welcome&namespace=mycmp
IF I want to make some ajax calls, to what URL shoul'd I point them ? .. I don't want to get entire modx in response but just an output from some function. What is the "right no ext JS" way ?
About second option which is probably the only right one.

As I mentioned, I don't have experience with Ext JS and similar frameworks. I checked few addons, how are created, but there is to much stuff and would take me a long time to figure it all out.
I'd realy like to have an simple addon examples with just one or two controllers which sends some data to a template. And of course few Ext JS calls and maybe a buttone and few tabs. Something not complicated, so I can explore it and figure it out.
If anyone know for such "simple addon" or has some "base" or "quick start" addon, i'd be really grateful if you can share it. Also if someone know for any good tutorial please share it with me.
Thanx to all
