Booking / reservation calendar

Hi

I am looking for a possible solution for building a simple booking / reservation system for a conference centre. Simple idea that people can see what days are free and request a reservation. This would send an email to the centre manager and the rest of the process would be pretty manual.

I have seen a potential solution to this using MX calendar, but I was wondering if anyone has had any experience in doing something similar and if so, how did you go about it?

The solution i have seen ( posted in the forums a couple of years back) is this.

Its not far off what I am hoping to achieve.

Thanks in advance.

Since your method is simple, mxCalendar would do the job nicely.

IIRC, there was an event registration tab within the calendar that may have email capability. Never used it or set it up, sorry.

Even without that, a calendar where you can enter available events, list them, and a contact form would do it. An actual booking solution for MODX however is not something I've managed to find yet.

Thanks for your reply. it looks like the job is going ahead so if I discover anything particular cool I will let you know.

Oh, please do! I have a few clients who could use something particularly cool for bookings.
