    Hi all

I’ve just imported a live site onto my local machine and have everything running almost perfect, apart from ...

When i preview the homepage all is fine, inasmuch as i get the site here: ’http://localhost/sitename/index.php’ - but when i click any links they resolve to the live site, and I want everything to remain local.

How do i change this? i’m sure it’s a simple tweak in a config page or via the manager, but i don’t know which.

    Thanks in advance

      well ...
I just switched on ’friendly url’s’ on the localhost site and this seems to have solved the problem - all pages are now resolving locally - eg: http://localhost/websitename/index.php?id=23

Can proper friendly url’s can be activated via localhost? - ie including full alias path etc?

      Thanks

I think that depends on what OS and Web Server setup you’re using.
Perhaps post some more Local Machine details and someone will advise.
Personally I never got FURL to work correctly on a Win XP Wampserver setup.

          Thanks ganeshXL
I had the module loaded but it still didn’t work until I changed the .htaccess file to:
          RewriteBase /dev/

So finally I have it working!
