    I have created a business user manager profile by editing the Content Editor access permissions. Everything works great, but when I view a resource manager page while logged in as a business user, the following error is shown:

    Code: 200 OK
    {"success":false,"message":"Permission denied!","total":0,"data":[],"object":[]}

    I've cleared cache through the manager, deleted everything in core/cache manually, flushed sessions while logged in as Administrator, logged out all users, and cleared browser cache. Still having the issue. Any ideas?

      Your policy needs to have the class_map permission set.

        Do you have any protected TVs that might be attached to the template used by the resource?

        Is the resource you're viewing also protected by any Resource Group Access ACL entries?

        You can try temporarily changing the Policy in the Context Access ACL for the group to Administrator. If that solves it, it's a missing permission in the Content Editor Policy.

          Thanks Susan - that did the trick.

            I have another error that's essentially identical to the previous issue, and I'm having a difficult time tracking down which permission setting is causing it. I think it is a permission setting issue, though, because (taking Bob's advice), when I change the user group's permission settings to Admin and this cleared up the issue.

            The error occurs with any edit I try to make to a resource. Here is what the error log shows:

            [2015-01-30 14:30:28] (ERROR @ /connectors/index.php) Error 42S22 executing statement:
            Array
            (
                [0] => 42S22
                [1] => 1054
                [2] => Unknown column 'name' in 'order clause'
            )

            I Googled the error and found this forum post referencing VersionX as the culprit. https://forums.modx.com/thread/95753/updated-random-connectors-index-php-error-42s22-executing-statement.

            I uninstalled VersionX and this has resolved the issue. But, bummer, VersionX is awesome. I assume there have been no resolutions found for this?

              Ah, both of these problems point to upgrade events that didn't happen. Did you jump upgrade versions?

              It's not supposed to matter, but for certain jumps, I'm convinced that it does.

              In PhpMyAdmin, see if your modx_context table has a 'name' field. If not, add one.

              Column: name
              Type: varchar(255)
              Collation: utf8_general_ci (or whatever)
              allowNull: Yes
              default: NULL

              VersionX should work then.

              Also -- see if there is a modx_extension_packages table in the DB.

                This is a new install; the site's a handful of days old and runs on 2.3.2 (haven't yet upgraded to 2.3.3).

                The name field exists in the modx_context table. A modx_extension_packages table also exists (currently empty).

                  In that case, I've got nothing, sorry.
