If I search for a short word or acronym (like "PCB"), the search does not find it. I assume there is a "minimum character" setting somewhere, and that it is set to ignore words of 3 characters or less. Also, if I search for "label" and the word "labeling" is in a post, it doesn't find that either, so there must be some setting (or bad coding) that forces searching for full words only. Any idea where I can fix these problems?
Before you go any further... As far as I understand the search bit for discuss is not working properly. It is better to use a different one, either the SimpleSearch plugin or something else like incorporate Google search into discuss.
Other than that, I could not answer your question as I stopped using the supplied search option for discuss.
OK, thanks. I thought of using something else, because the Discuss search setup is pretty lame.
