I am REALLY new to this and have not found the installation process easy at all.

I am now finally at the "Install Results" page and have no options to go on from there. It has just listed the results (which are all green and ok), but cannot move on to go the next section.

Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong or how to fix this? I am getting desperate. It has taken me all day to get this far. I want to get on and be able to play around and start making a site!

Once you reach the install results page you have installed MODx and are ready to log in to the manager and start building your site (or modifying the demo site if you chose to install it).

There should be a message at the bottom of the page reading:
      Installation was successful!

To log into the Content Manager (manager/index.php) you can click on the `Close` button.

Note: Before browsing your site you should log into the manager with an administrative account, then review and save your System Configuration settings.
and there should be a "close" button that when clicked will take you to the login page.

        HI,

        Thanks for your help.

I tried re-installing as I wasn’t getting that message at the bottom to take me to the manager section. It has now worked but I am having trouble accessing the manager section. I am getting the following error:

Warning: loadextension(MODX_BASE_PATHmanager/includes/extenders/dbapi..class.inc.php) [function.loadextension]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/virtual/web/w0108/html/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php on line 39

Warning: loadextension() [function.include]: Failed opening ’MODX_BASE_PATHmanager/includes/extenders/dbapi..class.inc.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’/var/virtual/web/w0108/html/manager/includes/’) in /var/virtual/web/w0108/html/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php on line 39
        Could not load DBAPI class.

        Any ideas?

        Thank you,

Seems not to be loading the file located at :
          manager/includes/extenders/dbapi.mysql.class.inc.php

Might be worth uploading that one again in case it became corrupted.

            Hi Thanks.

Have just tried and that still the same error message appearing. Do you have any other suggestions as to why this is happening?

            Thanks

            Lyn
