Hello,
I have a page called Contact Us which I didn’t want to have show up on my main menu so I unchecked the show on menu option. This is because I have a sepearte link to that page on my secondary navigation bar.
When I go to the contact us page it properly shows the breadcrumbs as home >> contact us
Well I have a form in the contact us page, and when its submitted it goes to a thank you page. This thank you page is nested within the contact us page so I was hoping the breadcrumb would display:
home >> contact us >> thanks
but instead it drops the "contact us" and only displays home >> thanks
So is there a way to override the breadcrumbs to see the contact-us as a parent but without having it show up on my waypoint menu bar?
Thanks for the reply, that works great. I also found another round about way which is to tell wayfinder to NOT include some pages when generating the menu...
which method would be the more correct way to resolve the issue? On one hand I feel like I want to clearly define whats in the menu and whats not... on the other hand, it makes sense that if I want a breadcrumb, that the visibility should be set to true...
I am hoping some of this will be resolve in 0.9.7 with syslinks... then hopefully I could easily setup another tree of the items I want in my main menu
I think however you plan the structure of your site there are always instances when the designer/client wants to deviate from scheme.
Whatever works in those cases is my approach.
0.9.7 will obviously free us from some of the current logic.
