Hi,
I am developing sites with MODX for a few years (revo and evo). Needless to say i love it, my only goto CMS.
When i do not need a CMS, i develop websites using codekit or grunt/gulp/npm, use less/sass/haml, use git, sometimes angular.js, etc..
I have not used node.js personally but integrated in a team.
When i need a CMS i develop the basic static site locally using html/css/jquery. once it looks good enough i install a new MODX site on my hosting server (hostgator),
I migrate the site to the hosting manually (split the html to chunks, templates etc..)
Once the site is working on the server as i wish - my entire development continues on the server using solely the MODX dashboard.
I use "inspect element" in a browser to make modifications, and then update them through the dashboard.
This was fine for a few years,
But i feel crippled not knowing how to integrate advanced work-flows into this work environment.
Once the site is installed , how can i continue developing using:
less,
grunt,
ajax calls (angularjs),
git - ( + how do i make a backup of a modx site)
I am not looking for specific answers as much as a recommended professional work flow someone uses.
Thank you!
