I’m trying to make a simple form to insert data in my database; I created a snippet

$a = $_POST['a'];
$b = $_POST['b'];
$c = $_POST['c'];
$d = $_POST['d'];
$e = $_POST['e'];
$query = "INSERT INTO table (1a, b, c, d, e) VALUES ('$a', '$b', '$c', '$d', '$e')";
?>
and a chunk with the form to insert the data, but I don’t even success to insert data into the table
can anyone help me?
