I know how to customize te manager and how to hide the modx built in tabs for user groups.
But I can't seem to figure out how to hide tabs from custom components.
For example the Version X tab on the resource edit view or SEO tab from Sterc.

Thanx in advance for your reply!

You might be able to do that with Form Customization if you can find the name of those tabs. If not, I think it would take a plugin that creates some custom JavaScript to hide them based on the user's permissions.

        Thanx for your reply BobRay,

The Form Customization isn't showing the custom components sad
And I don't know how to create a plugin/javascript for that.

This would be a nice feature to have in a next version of modx.
Also I find it really devious to create a new set for creating and updating a resource with a new set for each template.
Is there a way to apply a set for all or multiple templates and actions (create/update)?
Or maybe I should make a feature request for both these points?

I don't think so, but I almost never use Form Customization, so I can't be much help on that.

The feature request might be to the extra authors asking that they keep the tab hidden unless a user has a certain permission.

            I Just found a bug.
When I create a new Form Customization set and leave the "template" field blank.
Then it works for all resource templates.
But when I select a "template" first and modify, then I can't deselect the template.

So I am able to make one set for all templates after al, but MODx isn't functioning the way it is supposed to be.

It would be nice if this worked for the create/update menu also.

To who or where can I report this bug/error to have this fixed in a next release of MODx?

In terms of the VersionX tabs, there are system settings included in the package where you can enable/disable them. Not sure if the SEO Tab extra has the same, though I guess that one sorta loses it's primary function if you were to disable the tabs tongue
