    Revo 2.3.2

    I added a few text fields to the NP form and I need display their value on the front-end. The resource is created but my placeholder isn't working.

    <label for="software">Required Software</label>
    <input name="software" id="software" type="text">

    Then in a Chunk I added the placeholder [[+software]] where I wanted to show the value but it's not rendering.

      Is that a TV? If so, just put it in the &show property. If not, you'll have to add a snippet to set the placeholder from the $_POST data when the form is submitted.

        They are TVs.

        Actually the specific problem has to do with showing clickable tags with tagLister.

        Previously I was creating tags from the Manager with tagLister and filtering results on the front-end using:
        [[!toLinks?
        &items=`[[*tag-results]]`
        &target=`18`
        &tpl=`Tag Link`
        &tagKey=`tags`
        ]]

        Now I'm using NP to create the tags. The problem is all the links for all posts are being output instead of just the ones added in the NP form for a specific post. [ed. note: todd.b last edited this post 11 years, 9 months ago.]

          Now I'm using NP to create the tags.

          I'm afraid I don't know what that means. wink

          Also, are all the links showing up on the NewsPublisher page, or when a page created in NP is viewed?

          Are you still using taglister to display the tags? I've never used it, so I can't be much help.

            I wasn't clear.

            I added a text field to the NP form where members can enter tags to the post they create. When viewing the newly created post (front) the tags are displayed but not the tags for the specific post.

            Yes, I'm still using tagLister but I'm not married to it. If there's a different/better way to create tag (links) that can also be filtered when clicked that's fine too.

              I'm not sure that has anything to do with NewsPublisher. Be sure the taglister tag is above the NewsPublisher tag.

                Thanks Bob, that did the trick.

                  In case you're curious, when it's below the NP tag and the form is submitted, NP will forward the user before the taglister snippet can execute.

                    That does make sense now that you've explained it, though clearly it didn't occur to me previously. I suppose it's good practice to be aware of the order since such a simple thing can cause a lot frustration.

                    Thank you.
