    Hi
I’m having a real headache with this problem....

Does anyone know how to make a frontend document accessible to a manager user only?

The steps I have taken are:
    In manager:
Security -> manager permissions -> Document groups -> New doc group (AdminPages)
Security -> manager permissions -> User groups -> New user group (Admins)
Security -> User/Document group links -> Add ’AdminPages’ to ’Admins’

I then add my document to the doc group ’AdminPages’, but it is still visible whether or not the manager user is logged in.

Can anybody help me with this. Basically I just need a page to be accessible and editable by a manager user, but not by anyone else.

    Thanks in advance

OK, I just found away to do this, but there MUST be an easier way or I’ll eat my computer...

To get this working the way I wanted, I created a manager user and a web user with the same username and password.

I set it up in the manager so that when then manager user logs in he is redirected to the weblogin page, where he then logs in again with the same username & pass. Now the doubly validated user(s) can access the restricted pages (and is able to use the QuickEdit links...)

Now, hopefully there is somebody out there that can tell me that I’m an idiot who has over complicated the whole thing, and that I don’t need to explain to the client that he needs to login twice - well I can tell him that it’s twice as secure this way I suppose wink

      Cheers
