Answered Strange Issue, resource saves over the top of another resource

    Real strange issue here and wonder if anyone has experiences the same.

    If i click on a resource 95, make an edit then try to save it informs we that 95 is already use that alias. But I'm already on resource 95 and the URL confirms that. Looking in the DB there's only one alias with that name.

    So I then change the alias and it saves fine, but now it seems to actually of saved over the home page. The home page has now been removed from the root of the tree and is next to resource 95 in the tree with all the details of what 95 had but with an ID of 1.

    So far it only seems to be an issue with resource 95.

    Any one ever experienced anything similar?

      No clue what was causing it, but deleted everything from the content field via DB and also everything contentBlocks adds to the properties column, save the resource then pasted back in the CB properties and all seems fine now.

        The problem re appeared but have now got to the bottom of it.

        One of my contentBlocks layouts contained a form with a field with name="id". It was saving the first time because CD hadn't populated the content with the layout. But once save the content field now contained this form which modx didn't seem to like. I've not test but assume it's not just CB but if I'd pasted the form directly into the content region it would of caused a problem.

        So the fix was to amend my CB layout.
