    I’m using Wayfinder 2.0
     [!Wayfinder? &startId=`0` &level=`2` &rowIdPrefix=`topMenu` &parentClass=`hide` &parentRowTpl=`cssplay_parentRow` &outerTpl=`cssplay_outer` &innerTpl=`cssplay_inner` &rowTpl=`cssplay_row` &outerClass=`menu` &cssTpl=`cssplay_basicdd` &firstClass=`first` !]

I originally didn’t have friendly URLs setup. I just set them up and they work. I can go to the doc alias of a document and it comes up. Wayfinder is outputting the docid for [+wf.link+] instead of the alias. How do I get this to use the alias?

Try this in your template instead:
      [~[+wf.link+]~]

That doesn’t appear to have done anything. Now it outputs:
        [~/31~]

        Where 31 is the docid

Friendly urls was on but "Use friendly aliases:" in the config was set to off with no Suffix or Prefix
